I do want to go to bodies but I believe that it is going to be around until May or something and Lisa is or will soon be getting us 7 tickets at $10 each. So that is somewhat settled then.

I thought Orlando would be good but not really too special since we do that all the time. But putt-putt is fun and I know they have a lot of good ones there so if we do that in addition to Disney that will be good. But I don't know it seems a little too late to plan that and we might as well just plan a trip for a little later because I looked it up and it is currently peak season since you know it isn't death hot.

I don't really have any ideas that are too interesting besides that. I still need to do my shooting but that isn't really a group activity I suppose. Last year I wanted to go ice skating and we failed on that endeavor but we went ice skating in Yosemite so that is out of my system I suppose. Ooh, maybe we could do a crazy Porcao type dinner, that could be fun but very expensive. Real paintball or lazer tag might also be fun but whatever. It is just a birthday and no real big deal so you know don't worry about it since Im not and its my birthday. I do not need a birthday weekend extravaganza so chill out. But thanks for caring. :)

We need to plan stuff to do the week Lesley is here as well as the house cleaning schedule in advance of thier arrival. Well apparently its decided that one of the things they are going to do is see Bodies, which we should make sure is not something they would hate doing and better if they would be interested in.

You guys mentioned something about the beach and Colliseum but know the gay guy isn't going so I don't know if you would still thing that that was a good idea. As far as during the day stuff and plans for lunch and whatnot we really got to get on that. I guess its really only me and Justin's problem since you guys are going to be working and what not.

An important thing to know would be when exactly they are arriving and departing. Not just a date but a time as well. Because I know they are getting here on the Friday right, the 9th, at night, right? That would be good enough because that way we know that we can't really plan a big Friday. So yeah. And also since I don't know what they are expecting it is hard to plan. Sice you guys mentioned that apparently they would obviously want to be drunk all the time. So I don't know why doesn't Justin get an idea of what they may want to do or something before we come up with things they aren't interested in.

I'm going to break my suggestions down by days. I'm assuming that being on spring break your best bet is to be able to start a day around 9:30, and you will want to finish your day by 3:00 (to avoid unecessary extra-hassled traffic on both ends):

(1) i think it would be a sad thing to visit miami and not see miami beach. i mean, people are going to ask and they should be able to answer. my top picks for the beach are to simply park in a garage and walk down Lincoln Road, and then do the same thing for South Beach, go down Ocean Drive. A fun outting in association with this would be to go to Taverna Opa, it is alot of fun. Or, if not, have a light lunch on the sidewalk at a restaurant on ocean drive or Lincoln Road (NEXT or Van Dykes). don't go in the water, that isn't what South Beach is for. Plus, it smells. Leave the Beach by taking Collins all the way north, get off at one of the public beaches on north beach and dip your feet in the water, or have this be another beach day in addition to (2) below.

(2) I think, you must go in the ocean. The question is where, what beach. I like Crandon. I like the old zoo there, I like the bike trails. I don't know if you can rent bikes, but there is that. You have ernie's, Chrissy needs air in hers, so you are down one bike (for the four of you). So I would do/plan at least a whole day for that (to get there, walk around the zoo, go on the beach, lounge, etc. get off and see the side of the Bay and take pics of Vizcaya from the back).

(3) Museums/Gardens. I think a fun thing to do is to go to Vizcaya. It is big, impressive, etc. I think you can do it in a half day, but you would have to be motivated. If so, then you could also head to Coral Gables and do a driving tour, which is nice. To see the old stuff.

(4) You should drive down to Homestead. I know this sounds crazy, but you should. You should start in the grove, take Old Cutler all the way to US-1, hang a left, and keep going. You should turn right at Coconut Palm Drive and get a milkshake at Knauss Berry Farms. Or, head on down and have good mexican in downtown Homestead and then keep going to the Everglades. You should do the walking tour of the Everglades in the beginning. This is a long, scenic journey, but well worth it. You can come back on the Turnpike.

(5) Calle Ocho/Little Havana/Downtown/Brickell/Coral Gables. Unless you are going for the Calle Ocho, which would make part of this redundant. Tour the downtown city by car. Take a picture of the Miami Circle Ruins. Look at Skyscrapers. Check out Brickell. Leave Brickell on 8th Street, eat at Versailles. Head through the Gables at the Douglas Entrance, drive down Miracle Mile, see the Biltmore, see UM. Head back out of the Gables up LeJuene, and drive up Ockechobee back home. Or, continue down 8th Street to Krome and play the slots at Micosukee.

That's it for days of the week, my ideas. You can't do everything, this is a little bit of everything. If you are including Broward, downtown Ft. Lauderdale is fun with the sidewalk restaurants and clubs and art galleries.

My picks weekend:

March 10th: Bodies. See South Miami, eat at Dan Marino's.

March 11th: Calle Ocho (but be careful) or Ft. Lauderdale/Boomers.

March 17th: St. Patrick's Day. Only one place to go: John Martins, Coral Gables.

My two cents for what it's worth.

for the above, I suggest the day to start and end, but obviously, you can wait and have dinner around wherever you are too (for example, dinner at Taverna Opa after a day on South Beach).

You should get a Miami New Times the Thursday before they get here. It'll have a weekly planner of things going on, plus restaurant and club guides.

Cleaning party?

I guess that we should clean in order to prepare for the arrival of some nice college girls but there was some mention of this possibly happening during the week. We can set up a schedule to all help out clean little by little. It should go a lot faster and we could all work together and possibly have a fun weekend not cleaning. I believe that Lisa is planning on coming up this weekend but to help Mami look at tile is the current set up, since Charlie is working on Saturday. We could of course just priceline hotel in Orlando for $30 or some other insanity and do that but it seems a little ridiculous at this point.

Sorry for the pointless rambling but I am bored...only place to sit and wait for my class to start is at a computer so I needed to find something to do on it.

We really need to plan what we are going to do with them because they are coming soon. So I know that technically I am in charge of figuring dinner for Friday but you know it would be good if you guys had input for what you think would be a good first night food as well as activity for later. By the way we are still planning on keeping our dinner routine for next week right?

Well anyways we do need to know what kind of things we should do over the weekend especially and see if they are interested in the Bodies thing since we should probably do that this weekend then and if so then plan something else to do around there or something.

I am going to check out some websites to look at events and the like and we shoud get the New Times like Charlie suggested I suppose.

As for Broward I hear that Las Olas, to which I have never been, is like a better Bayside which is another of the boring places we took her last time.

I think, you know, you have to take them to traditional cuban cafeteria. That would be a good "introduction" to Miami.

but like, you know, not a "nice" place or, ok, i'm screwing this up completely. I'm thinking of that place that we have been to on 184 or whatever up there, you know, like a regular cuban restaurant in a strip mall or whatever.
