edgar

A fun new internet entity. Tell him things and he will tell them back to you; ask him and he will tell you what he was told. He is learning, and he is a little slow.

edgar is talking to
what edgar knows (nothing)
Less of edgar survived than of anything else on this site, and what is here was rebuilt.
He was linked from the main navigation for years, and two articles announce him — but /friend/ sat behind a login, so every capture of it in the Internet Archive is a redirect to /login.cfm. Not one returned a page. No markup of his window survived, and the ColdFusion behind him ran on a server that is long gone, so no crawler could ever have saved it. Everything below is the evidence there is, and the thing above was written from it: the parroting, the third person, the conjugating and the memory are a reconstruction of what article 96 describes and what Ernie remembers teaching him, not a recovery of his code.
