    Shakespeare's Globe

We had a great time in London. One of the highlights was this:

The Globe Theater is not the original, although it is modeled and built to look like the original with the same dimensions, etc. and was featured in Shakespeare in Love. It was a great inexpensive outing in London (at night) and if you stand (yes stand) in the yard (the yard seats are the cheapest and we were/are poor) you get the authenticity of a real honest to goodness experience of standing in the yard like a commoner in Will's times. The acting was great, the comedy even better, the pints of beer truly London, and there is just something all together unique and special about seeing real Shakespeare with real actors in period costumes (all male, BTW, so it is "really" real).

I/We highly recommend it and would do it again ourselves. So check it out and see if you can fit it in, it is worth it.

It seems that they are showing two comedies, A Midsummer's Night Dream and The Merry Wives of Windsor (the comedies which I would recommend) during your stay period:

- And yes, you can totally take a wicky to get here! Although cross the Millinium Bridge is fun too!
